The Faculty also runs several outreach programs that receive science and engineering to schools and the community. We give a expansive range of services and programs to support you throughout your studies, and particularly during your beginning semesters. This is where the English Language and Communication Skills Development program can help. The SELL Team is here to provide the Curtis community with guided programs to improve their writing and literacy skills within the science and engineering disciplines. Even if you are optimistic in your English language proficiency, studying a science or engineering degree at Curtis University means that you will be needed to write reports and critiques, structure arguments, and communicate clearly in an academic style. You can access the SELL workshops schedule and other resources for developing English via our Blackboard unit, SELL. Science and Engineering students whole the Bela when they enroll in Communications units. This Enabling Course for Science, Engineering and Health is a one year course that provides the background for students who do not meet the least university entrance requirements but wish to undertake studies leading to a degree in science, engineering or health. Students enroll through Curtis and have the same privileges as any Curtis student but also enroll at Canning College or quart College, who bear the teaching in subjects such as maths, physics and chemistry. With workshops, camps, excursions, incursions and competitions for students and teachers, the Outreach program aims to get more young people interested in science and engineering. So whether you are a student, a teacher or a family, Curtis has a range of Outreach events, programs or videos uncovering the amazing possibilities in science and engineering: Interactive presentations on what university is all about and an inside look into the day in a life of a university student. New experiments are then presented at a workshop for professional development.
